The various research interests of the human geographers in the Department coalesce around issues of politics, culture and space.  Individually and collaboratively, this cohort of researchers brings together a diverse set of questions including ethno-territorial conflict, transnational citizenship, migration, gender and ethnic identity formation and human-environment interactions.  The link will provide a more detailed description of faculty research agendas in this area.

Our department offers a broad range of regional research and teaching specialties, covering Latin America, Western and Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
