Geography Club provides a place for undergraduate and graduate students to work together on events and projects that are related to geography… And there is a lot in the world around us related to geography! Students work to promote geography and geographical thinking on campus and in the community through events such as Geography Awareness Week, the Geography open-house, participation in Sustainability Week, planting trees, volunteering, hosting movie nights, and more.
Students interested in joining Geography Club should attend one of the meetings (see the schedule below). You do not have to be a geography student to join, and we welcome anyone who is just interested in what geography is and what geographers do.
In the 2015-2016 school year, Geography Club will be working on a community mapping project (mapping skills not required!) and working to promote geographical thinking on campus. There will also be opportunities to interact with faculty and participate in professional development activities.
