As a student chapter, the UO ASPRS strives to provide students access to and interaction with professionals in fields using remote sensing and geospatial analysis.
The chapter raises and provides money for student member travel grants and research funding awards, and actively attends Columbia River Region ASPRS activities and workshops. In addition, the student chapter brings guest lecturers to the UO campus to speak on topics of interest in the geospatial sciences.
About the ASPRS
Founded in 1934, the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) is a scientific association serving over 7,000 professional members around the world. Our mission is to advance knowledge and improve understanding of mapping sciences to promote the responsible applications of photogrammetry, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and supporting technologies.
