Tea Talk May 9th: Cynthia Brewer

Dr. Cynthia Brewer is a renowned cartographer who has been with the Department of Geography at Penn State since 1994. For eight years, she served as an affiliate faculty member at the US Geological Survey Center of Excellence for Geospatial Information Science (CEGIS), and received the Henry Gannet Award for Exceptional Contributions to Topographic Mapping from the USGS in 2013. She has authored four books including Designing Better Maps: A Guide for GIS Users published in 2016. Cindy is perhaps best known for ColorBrewer, an online tool designed to help people select good color schemes for maps and graphics.
