The waters of the South Coast Basin like those of the North Coast Basin flow directly to
the Pacific Ocean. The Oregon portion of the South Coast Basin is composed of
thirteen sub-basins, only one of which has a small portion located within Lane County
boundaries.
NORTH UMPQUA SUB-BASIN
The North Umpqua sub-basin is composed of twelve watersheds. Only a small northern
portion of Steamboat Creek is located within Lane County boundaries.
