Custom built bulk sieving apparatus: Sieve-O-Matic

A 5 x 5 array of nested sieves.  Screen plate on top (125 microns) holds the device together and prevents sediment from escaping.  Designed and built by Kris Johnson at the University of Oregon.

Each brass sieve has a fine lower sieve under a coarse upper sieve.

The entire device can be placed in an aluminum tub within a shaking water bath.  Sediments may be batch processed with chemical rinses.
