EDGE Program Description
The EDGE program is a hybrid course of study offered
with online and on-campus coursework.
Teachers attend two four-week intensive summer sessions on
campus at the University of
Oregon
in
Eugene. The summer sessions
are
sandwiched around fall, spring, and winter courses delivered through
distance education.
The program requires teacher to earn
45 graduate level credits in human geography, physical
geography, geospatial technology, geography education
research, reading, and college supervised teaching.
Teachers complete a Master's Research Project related to
Geography Education.
EDGE Teachers may apply to transfer up to 15 graduate credits
related to geography education from an accredited instruction,
provided the credits have not been
applied to another graduate degree. [Transfer
