What does ECAT do?
ECAT will help you complete the work for your B.A. or B.S. degree in a
way that insures strong preparation in the subject matter you will one day
teach. ECAT advisors will also help you complete the application process
for the UO fifth year teacher licensing program.
*You may also wish to contact the
undergraduate advisor in your department, and to take advantage of the UO
Office of Academic Advising in Oregon Hall.
Remember: If you're thinking about education, but you
don't know which area you might want to focus on, keep in mind that our
campus offers Elementary
licensure and Middle/Secondary
Licensure in five areas:

Social Studies

Math

Language Arts

Science (biology, chemistry, physics,
integrated science)

Second languages (English, Spanish, French,
German, Japanese, Russian, Latin)

Music
*The Graduate Elementary Teaching Program welcomes candidates with a
B.A. or B.S. degree (regardless of major) but prerequisite course
