Course goals:  The year-long CAS 220 sequence is intended to: a) help you develop a deeper appreciation of major themes and threads of science research in general and more particularloy at UO; b) provide you access to research faculty and graduate students who will talk about their research, opportunities in their field, ad factors that led to their  professional path; and c) help you develop skills and contacts that allow you to initiate a professional internship near the end of your sophomore year or in your junior year.
